قتل جمال قاشقچی واکنش های بسیاری در رسانه های گروهی و نزد مقامات سیاسی و حکومتی داشت روسای جمهور ، وزرای خارجه و مقامات بسیاری از کشورها نسبت به قتل ایشان واکنش نشان دادند.۱۲ شخصیت مهم مدعو برای کنفرانس سرمایه گذاری عربستان موسوم به نیوم سفر خود به عربستان را لغو کردند. شبکه الجزیره عربی قطر برنامه های عادی خود را قطع و برنامه های ویژه قتل قاشقجی را به مدت سه هفته در راس کارها و اهداف خود قرار داد. شبکه انگلیسی الجزیره نیز تا حدودی همین خط و مشی را دنبال کرد و در رسوایی قتل نامبرده بسیار تاثیر گذار بود. سایر رسانه های مهم خبری جهان نیز اخبار قتل وی را به مناسبتهای مختلف پوشش دادند. سازمان عفو بین الملل – دیده بان حقوق بشر و سازمان های متعددی قتل را محکوم کردند. در ایران اولین واکنش در بخش غیر دولتی ها بود و دولت ایران مدتی در مورد قتل سردر گم بود و تا سه هفته هیچ موضع گیری رسمی نکرد. مرکز مطالعات خلیج فارس که یک موسسه غیر دولتی است اولین موسسه ایرانی بود که به زبان های انگلیسی – عربی و فارسی از تاریخ ۲۸ مهر ماه  بیانیه هایی در محکومیت قتل صادر کرد. و خواستار مجازات بن سلمان در دادگاه بین المللی کیفری شد.  

Statement No. 2 of the Persian Gulf Studies Center:

The Saudi government cannot disclaim their responsibility in the tragic events surrounding Jamal Khashoggi’s murder by attempting to divert the attention of global public opinion. The Consulate of the Kingdom was the crime scene and the perpetrators were connected to governmental bodies and officials at the highest level. The Royal Court should accept that it planned and intended to murder this journalist by sending its security team with a private jet to Istanbul. Anything short of the Saudi government’s acceptance of the crime after nearly three weeks, will be an inadequate step, in light of the fact that Saudi Arabia initially denied the murder and designed a covert scenario to exonerate its infected hands.

The press community is waiting for a thorough, accurate, transparent and timely investigation in to this crime. The oligarchy government and the tyrannical circle of the Saudi government has committed numerous crimes during its medieval dictatorship. The killing of Yemeni innocent children, taking the Yemeni and Bahraini people as hostage, and the assassination of media and intellectual personalities, the threatening Persian Gulf neighbors, including the oppressive siege of Qatar, are not the only crimes committed and will not be the last. We ask the Turkish government, the United Nations and human rights organizations, the press community and the free world, to work to convince the Saudi government to punish the perpetrators of this crime and other crimes in Yemen, Syria and Bahrain and other parts of the world. To put pressure on this dictatorship to behave democraticly in respect to its Persian Gulf neighbors and the international community and to obey the human rights values.

The Saudi government has hidden many other crimes through its use of Petro-Dollars. Several religious, tribal, and political executions and execution of religious leaders by unjustice trials are among such crimes. MbS is the main accused perpitrator, he should be prosecuted by the International Criminal Court, and less can not provide internal calm for the families of the victims and the international community and the press.
